Face valued ...

The "children overboard" claim was subsequently shown to be untrue. The photos were of people being rescued from a completely different boat, months before, that was sinking.

The people that were supposedly throwing "children overboard" were Iraqi nationals fleeing the wrath of Sadam Hussein.

2003 and the "Coalition of the Willing" have found no weapons of Mass Destuction on their crusade through the Middle East. The Prime Minister and his flock of puppets, sorry, Honourable Members, again assured the people of Australia that Saddam was stockpiling WMDs and was a serious threat to our security.

When no WMDs were found the Coalition decided that their mission was to free the Iraqi people from the dictator rule of Saddam Hussein. The news was splattered with feel good stories of Iraqi people dancing in the streets and making peace signs.

As is often the case, the parties most pivotal in all these matters, the Iraqi people, have been not overlooked in the sense of rook takes knight political strategy. Their feelings and fears have been overlooked or used to fuel our fears.

Did anyone ask the Iraqis on the boat if and then why anyone threw anyone else overboard? Did anyone ask them how they felt to be portrayed in such a manner? Did anyone ask them if they wanted to sue for deformation?

No. Their feelings and needs are not important to Governments seeking re-election. You want to know "how to make the most of a defenceless oppressed people", write to you local member about that, baby ...

As always, all I ask you to do is to think. Don't take things on face value, always ask questions, beware of vested interests and keep your mind close to your heart.

Just think.

Skeet.
